Paul Worley with Reginald Dwayne Betts, Roy G. Guzmán, Laila Lalami

Regular visitors to this blog know that NDQ is a big fan of the UND Writers Conference. In fact, last spring we had all the details in place to bring our poetry editor Paul Worley for a triumphal return to the Northern Plains to moderate a session at the Writers Conference featuring Reginald Dwayne Betts, Roy G. Guzmán, and Laila Lalami.

Then COVID happened and Professor Worley (and the rest of the world) had to hunker down and shelter in place.

Fortunately, the relentless energy and creativity of the Writers Conference director, Crystal Alberts, found a way to make the conference happen this fall. And tomorrow evening at 7 pm CDT, Paul Worley will moderate a panel for a discussion of “Class and Place.”

The event is online, free, and open to anyone who wants to register. You can register here.

Check out the full schedule of events here and their amazing Virtual Reading Room which offers a whole gaggle of past readings and conversations here.

If you like what you hear, consider supporting the Writers Conference with a donation here. If you like the cut of Paul Worley’s jib, check out his interview with Laila Lalami here or consider submitting something to us here or getting a subscription to NDQ here
