Picking the President in Paper

I’m happy to announce that Eric Burin’s Picking the President: Understanding the Electoral College which was produced by The Digital Press at the University of North Dakota and North Dakota Quarterly, is now available in glorious, durable paper from Amazon.com. It’s $8. That’s less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks or a six-pack of “craft beer.”

Eric Burin is Professor of History at the University of North Dakota, and author of Slavery and the Peculiar Solution: A History of the American Colonization Society (2005). He marshaled over a dozen contributors to offer a range of views on the Electoral College and melded them with a group of significant historical documents.

For more on the book project go here.

The paper version of Picking the President is based on the slightly updated version of the book (version 1.3 for those of you keeping track at home!) which was a general tidying up of the text. It is the same version that the individual offprints are based on just with a slightly different cover. You can download individual contributions separately here.

So head on over to The Digital Press now and download a copy or, if the intoxicating smell of the paper book is your thing, pop on over to Amazon and buy one.
