We understand that we haven’t necessarily been the best at maintaining the blog over the last few months. This is because we’ve fallen behind with most aspects of running North Dakota Quarterly. As some small — and ironic — consolation, it would appear that our publishing partners at the University of Nebraska Press have also fallen behind on the production side of things.

To help us catch up with our reading backlog, we’re going press pause on submissions for a few months this summer starting on June 1. 

But don’t worry, we plan to turn submissions back on in the late summer to give everyone a chance to submit their best summer writing!
