Over the last few issues, NDQ has been working our way through a massive backlog of poetry. Now, we can happily say that we’re almost through.
This means, we can reopen poetry submissions this morning.
While we don’t charge a reading fee, it would be absolutely lovely if everyone who was considering submitting to NDQ took a few minutes to read one of our free issue (here or here) or even just read our blog a bit. Take note of the kind of poetry NDQ likes to publish. This isn’t to say that we won’t publish something that we haven’t published before, but it’ll give you a clear sense for what we’re doing in the present.
Finally, if you do submit, be patient with us. Despite the august heritage of NDQ, we are currently an all-volunteer operation. We don’t have a staff, our budget is only enough to keep our head above water, and we have the barest minimum of institutional support.
